The hardest part about falling asleep is dealing with a restless mind. Stray thoughts wander in without invitation, loop and circle around, and refuse to quiet down – even when you’re fully ready to rest. That’s where hypnosis and guided relaxation can help. They work by gently switching off that mental interference.
What guided relaxation does to the mind?
Hypnosis is a process of making you focus on one thing above all else, and an immersive story is perfect tool in order to create that focus. The more rich the detail, the soundscape, the atmospherics, the more you can become fully absorbed into it. This hypnotic focus prevents other thoughts from interfering, allowing you to let go of mental noise, slowing your mind, and making it easy to just switch off, and fall into a calm, restorative sleep.
